Porsche Carrera Cup GB racers complete Monaco challenge (26-5-09)

Porsche Carrera Cup GB racers Michael Leonard and Glynn Geddie successfully completed their debut in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup when they tackled the race supporting the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday (24 May 2009).

The pair of drivers from Team Parker Racing contested the street race event on the weekend between two Carrera Cup meetings, and finished 15th (Geddie) and 16th (Leonard) in the 23-car field on the daunting track. High ambient temperatures added to the challenge.

They also qualified close together, with Leonard

17th fastest and Geddie 18th despite an off that left the team working hard to have the car ready for Sunday's race.

"They did really well, and certainly held their own against some tough opposition and on a very challenging track," said Marion Barnaby, championship manager of the Carrera Cup GB.
